P365 Vs. P365xl - So, I had a few questions about which firearm I should get if I had the choice between the regular P365 and the P365 XL. Don't worry, you'll get a definitive answer to this later, but I had to include the X-Compact as a twist because not many people understand what a decent gun is for this size. If you haven't checked out TFB TV's review of the P365 XL, I highly recommend you check it out. I expected to come to the same conclusion as Jacob thought, and I was just as wrong as he was. Please note that this is not a guide to buying a gun based on what I write. I always encourage people to go out and test guns to make up their own minds, rather than trust what some random guy on the internet says is cool.
When I first heard about the X-Compact, I thought it was just another variant of the P320 X series and didn't have high expectations for it. Shooting the X-Compact completely changed my mind and I basically fell in love with it after the first magazine. The X-Compact differs from most compact handguns in that it is much smaller than a Glock 19 or CZ P10C. It has the same capacity as its larger competitors, but has a much smaller footprint when worn under a shirt. The X-Compact is the largest handgun of the three, but the most enjoyable to shoot at the range and the easiest to handle in the hands.

Sights are SIG X-Ray Tritium night sights that are standard on most Legion series pistols with a large front dot and blacked out rear sights. It is already equipped with SIG optics and is the only rifle of the three that has a standard picatinny rail mount. There will be a variety of lights on the market, and I run the X-Compact a bit with the Inforce APLc. It was a compact weapon light, but something like the Surefire XC1 would be just as capable.

The P365 XL is the latest addition to SIG's concealed carry lineup and certainly has a rightful place in the 365 family line. The specs are slightly higher and 2 ounces heavier, but the feel of the gun is completely changed by the slight difference in grip and slide length. It shoots much flatter than the standard P365, and I shot better with the XL than the standard P365. The XL is easier to control because it has a larger grip, allowing the shooter to get the full grip of the firearm. The longer slide also gives the shooter a larger radius, which contributes to better accuracy.
The other day I took all three guns for a range session and put about 500 rounds through each model. 500 rounds through the XL is manageable and surprisingly accurate for its overall size. The flat trigger feels good and is shorter than the standard model, and the sights on the XL are really easy to use. It has very clean mesh with consistent draw patterns and distance. I enjoyed my long range session with the SIG P365 XL and can easily see why there is so much buzz about this firearm.
So it's more of a summary than an actual P365 note. I wrote my review last month after 18 months and the gun has been working flawlessly for me. I have a very early version of the gun and its exact birthday is 2018. January 28th The gun spends a lot of time on my hip in a UVB holster during the summers and is always 100% reliable with all types of ammo. for me Although the pistol is relatively small for its capacity, the P365 is one of the most controllable handguns in its size group.
Personally, the P365 is easier to shoot than something like a Glock 43 or Ruger LC9, but that's just my opinion. It may be the least controllable of the three options on this list, but the P365 can still record groups of impressive sizes for me at 7 yards. I don't think there is anything on the market that is easier to cover up with summer clothes, which is really fast when it's hot outside.

So what is my recommendation? It's a hard question to answer if I'm honest. I love the XL size and it is a great shooting pistol from the ammo I have loaded so far. If I had nothing else, I'd have to go with the P365 XL over the other two, just because it does everything really well. Standard capacity is 12 rounds, and 15 rounds are also optional. I really enjoy filming in the afternoon.
What I'm dealing with now is that I already have a P365 and it's been a wonderful companion for me over the past year and a half. I am planning to buy another smaller framed handgun for concealed carry and honestly can't stop thinking about the X-Compact. It feels fantastic in my hands and I really like how it can be at this size. I think the P365 XL is a great gun, but personally I plan to buy the X-Compact. I am an avid shooter and enjoy learning both on the job and in the shooting community. I'm a simple joker who really enjoys talking with other people about firearms and other passions. The Sig P365 is arguably the most effective 9mm concealed handgun on the market, and the Sig P365 XL is its slightly larger sibling. We compare the Sig P365 and P365 XL and discuss all the pros and cons of both firearms.
P365xl Vs P365 Comparison
Both of these guns are very small, but the Sig P365 has a distinct advantage over the Sig P365 XL, with the grip being just under half an inch shorter. The size difference allows them to play different roles in the hidden arsenal. Another important difference is the weight.
With 2 extra rounds, the Sig P365XL weighs two and a half ounces more than the Sig P365XL.
While I'm sure some people can carry the Sig P365 XL in their pocket for the majority of the population, it's not a viable pocket option.
The Sig P365 is viable for most of the population. I am 6' tall 175 lbs and can carry a Sig P365 with a right pocket holster in most pants. When I use a regular pocket bag, I have to have pants with huge pockets and a loose fit, so I don't show that I'm carrying a gun in my pocket.

Both guns can be carried on the ankle, but the general rule of thumb is that for long-term joint health, you don't want to carry a gun that weighs more than 16 ounces.
In theory, the Sig P365 is easier to conceal because of its shorter grip, but if you have a good holster that will fit around it properly, you should be able to conceal these guns with similar effectiveness between 4 and 5 hours. Hidden at 3 o'clock, the Sig P365's shorter grip becomes a clear advantage.
The Sig P365 and Sig P365XL are perfect for IVB carry due to their slim profile and relatively short grips. The P365 is so small that most people will have no problem hiding the larger Sig P365XL.
The extra slide length on the Sig P365 XL balances the gun a bit better and makes the gun more comfortable to carry IVB for most people. That said, carrying the Sig P365 in a Sig P365XL holster does the trick for most people.

If you want to carry an OWB holster, concealing your gun may be more difficult than if you carry it IWB. With a slim gun like the Sig P365 and Sig P365XL, you'll have the best possible chance of concealment without wearing bulky clothing.
Most OWB holsters don't have enough of a holster built into the holster, and if you use one of those, the Sig P365's shorter grip will conceal much better.
If you have a properly designed OWB holster with plenty of angle adjustment, the Sig P365 XL will probably work just as well, although you'll need to wear a little more shirt for the extra muzzle.
